RELIGION                                                                                                                      

Memory work this week for third and fourth grade: Acts 22:16. Found in religion book on page 155.

READING

Third grade will be reading Judy Moody Saves the World. Our vocabulary strategy is going to be context clues The main skill will be story structure. The third grade will take a reading test Friday with questions about the vocabulary strategy, story structure, and Judy Moody Saves the World.

This week, fourth grade will be reading Riding Freedom. Our vocabulary strategy will be figurative language. Our main skill is going to be compare and contrast. The fourth grade will take a reading test Friday with questions about the vocabulary strategy, compare and contrast, and Riding Freedom.

MATH

The next third grade math test will be Tuesday, March 21. We will review for the test on Monday. The rest of

the week we will learn about telling and showing time to the minute, rounding to the nearest hundred, estimating sums and differences of 3-digit numbers, and we will start to learn about comparing fractions. KEEP STUDYING YOUR FACTS!

Fourth grade will learn about mean, median, range, mode, geometric solids, constructing prisms, and constructing pyramids. The next fourth grade math test will be Tuesday, March 28. KEEP STUDYING MULTIPLICATION FACTS!

ENGLISH

This week we will finish editing and writing our persuasive essay. The final persuasive essay will be due Friday, March 24. Chapter 6 part A test will be Monday March 27 and part B test will be Wednesday, March 29.

SCIENCE

This week in science we will continue to learn about weather. We will also complete the chapter 10 study guide this week. The chapter 10 test will be April 3.

SOCIAL STUDIES

We will finish talking about the South Central region on Monday and Tuesday. The chapter 7 test will be Thursday, March 23. We will start to learn about the Great Lake states on Friday.

SPELLING

Spelling words will come home on Monday. The students will take their tests on Friday.
