Memory work this week for third and fourth grade: 1 Chronicles 16:34. Religion book on page 141.
We are still continuing our reading groups. We are enjoying getting to read in a group and work with each other to complete the worksheets. When we finish reading our chapter books, we will work together in our groups to complete a comprehension test over the whole chapter book. The books are not able to be taken home. NO READING TEST ON FRIDAY.
Third grade will be reviewing on Tuesday. Wednesday we will take our next math test. The rest of the week we will learn about writing a part of a set as a fraction, subtracting a multiple of 10 from a number, and estimating difference of two 2-digit numbers. KEEP WORKING HARD TO STUDY FACTS!
Fourth grade will learn about multiplying multiples of 10 and 100, multiplying two 2-digit numbers, remainders in word problems about equal groups, and mixed numbers/improper fractions. KEEP STUDYING X’s FACTS!!
We will be continuing working through chapter 6 this week in English. We’ll be working more on classifying sentences and making sure we know all the parts of speech.
This week in science we will start to learn about how to conserve our resources. We will also complete the next study guide for chapter 9. The chapter 9 test will be on Wednesday, March 1.
This week in social studies we will be talking about how the South Central region is a diverse economy. The Midwest States Map pretest will be Monday, February 27 and the test will be Tuesday, February 28.
Spelling words will come home on Tuesday. The students will take their tests on Friday.
